Frontlines Team:

Laura Punaro, RN, BSN

Laura attended The University of Virginia School of Nursing and began her career as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.  After working at Children’s National Medical Center she transitioned to Georgetown University Hospital.  Laura is a Certified Instructor for the American Heart Association.

Hannah Gemignani

Hannah grew up in Fairfax, Virginia and is currently attending nursing school at George Mason University. She is set to graduate in May of 2020 and has her sights set on becoming a Trauma/Emergency room nurse. Prior to her academic career she was a professional babysitter for 10 years and has been certified in basic life support (BLS) throughout.

Danika Okpaleke, EMT

Danika is a emergency medical technician with a local volunteer fire department. She received her BS in Health Sciences from James Madison University. She is currently working in an elementary school clinic and is a former elementary educator. She is currently working on her requirements to obtain a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. 

Brianna Nielsen

Brianna Nielsen has a BS in Biology from George Mason University, and is currently working on her RN at Northern Virginia Community College as well as her BSN at George Mason University. She currently as a Clinical Technician III. Brianna Nielsen is certified by the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS). 

Juliette Jackson

Juliette is currently an ER nurse in Arlington. She has worked all over the country as a travel nurse before settling down in Virginia.  In addition to being a nurse, Juliette enjoys traveling the world with her family. She has been CPR certified for over 10 years, and loves empowering others in their learning of this essential, life-saving skillset.

Emily Boland, RN, BSN

Emily grew up in McLean, VA, and attended the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012.  Following graduation, Emily moved back to the Washington, D.C. area to start her nursing career in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Georgetown University Hospital, where she has now worked for almost two years.

Lauren Missirlian, RN, BSN

Lauren has been a critical care nurse for over 11 years.  She received a BS from Virginia Tech in 2001 and went on to earn a BS in Nursing from the University of Maryland in 2002.  Upon graduating, Lauren began working at Inova Fairfax Hospital as a staff nurse, advancing to charge nurse, mentor and manager in the Intensive Care Unit.
